Handy when you have to extract an order list from a BOM of a PCB for example \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>When you have a list of items and you want to list and count the unique entries, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select &#8216;Data&#8217; -&gt; &#8216;Filter&#8217; -&gt; &#8216;Advanced filter&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8216;Action&#8217; -&gt; &#8216;Copy to another location&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Fill in &#8216;List Range&#8217; to be the column containing the data<\/li>\n<li>Fill in &#8216;Copy to&#8217; to be the target colums<\/li>\n<li>Enable the &#8216;unique records only&#8217; checkbox<\/li>\n<li>Click OK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-437\" title=\"advanced_filter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lika.be\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/advanced_filter.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"249\" height=\"238\" \/><br \/>\n<\/center><br \/>\nThen, to count the number of unique entries, do as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Next to the target colum, enter the following formula: <code>=COUNTIF(F:F,I3)<\/code>.
